Community Engagement

With the help of the Dogpatch Neighborhood Association, 888 Tennessee Street underwent an extensive community engagement process. We are grateful to the DNA for their thoughtful input. The above diagram and list document revisions that were made to the original design during the community engagement process. The result is a better building that we believe will have very positive impact on the Dogpatch neighborhood and streetscape.

Dogpatch Historic District

This historic district has distinctive industrial buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Our design respects this historic fabric while maintaining a modern sensibility. The strategy is based on two distinctive window patterns and warm earth-tone colors based on local clays.

A. Historic concrete industrial building with large windows organized by the structural bay grid.

B. Brick warehouse buildings have narrow windows that are typically not grouped.
