Talladega AL | Completed
The 16 cottages at Union Village in Talladega, AL, will be a safe, accessible refuge for deaf and blind residents.
“It gives me a sense of independence,” said a resident of Union Village, a new community for blind, deaf and deaf-blind individuals needed supportive housing. A three-phase project, Union Village will ultimately consist of 42 all-electric, affordable, accessible homes surrounded by 5 existing renovated older large cottages. The first four duplex-style 475-square-feet tiny homes have been constructed and more are on the way.
We partnered with Presbyterian Home for Children (PHFC) and the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) to create the master plan and designs for these residents.
